Stay Home. Ariel Services Online

Due to the CDC’s standard to avoid unnecessary gatherings, Ariel is encouraging all attendees to stay at home during weekly Shabbat services and watch them online. You can view the live services, and some of the most recent services at the following link:

Ariel Videos Page

For Spanish-speaking attendees, or those who cannot view the services online, you are certainly welcome to attend services at the synagogue as we continue to hold services to be streamed live. We just ask that you take every precaution possible to avoid unnecessary contact with others.

We will continually monitor the situation so that we can return to holding normal services as soon as possible. However, we wish to do everything possible to maintain the safety of our people during these uncertain times. Thank you for your support!

Passover and Tsav

Passover and Tsav title

R. Paul Falk examines the different kinds of offerings in the Torah portion, Tsav, and shows a number of parallels to the expectation for us today to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, following the example of Messiah.

Mountains 7 – Mount HaSatan

Mountains 7 title

R. Paul Falk ties similar passages together that show how haSatan, or the Adversary, was described as a mountain, with references from Genesis to the New Testament, including the temptation of Yeshua. A very interesting look at the difference between YHVH’s Holy Hill, and the mountains of others that are a big part of idolatry.

Soothing Aroma (Vayikra)

Soothing Aroma title

Chris Shannon teaches on the sacrifices in the Torah portion, Vayikra, that are described as producing “a soothing aroma” as compared to those that do not produce this effect. The ultimate sacrifice of Messiah was one of these, as are our sacrifices as described in the New Testament.

Mountains 6 – The Tabernacle Moses Saw

Mountains 6 title slide

R. Paul Falk starts with the Torah portion, VaYakel-Pekudei, and shows how the tabernacle that was shown Moses on the mountain may very well have been using the mountain itself like a 3D model of the tabernacle as YHVH designed it to be built. A fascinating correlation of insights.
